2009 Atlantic Hurricane Season Will be Somewhat More Active

March 23, 2009

According to the Colorado State University Department of Atmospheric Science, the 2009 hurricane season will be “somewhat more active” than previous years.

The predictions are based on historical data and trends gathered over the last 58 years.  The prediction for 2009 includes seven hurricanes, fourteen named storms and seventy named storm days which is about one and one half times the average.

Preparing for hurricanes and tropical storms is part of life for Gulf Coast based companies.  The FIBERTOWN Data Center and  Disaster Recovery Campus is located safely ninety minutes north of downtown and offers complete DR solutions including data center space, cabinets, office space and other DR essentials.
